The route: a path authorised specifically for this flight, designed to bring you as close as possible to the heart of Venice. On board the experience stays exclusive — the aircraft is reserved for your group — departing from the historic Giovanni Nicelli Airport on the Lido.

The flight departs from Giovanni Nicelli Airport in Venice Lido. The aircraft is an amphibian: in its current configuration it takes off from and returns to the airport runway.

Not yet: it is the next chapter, in preparation. We are working so that one day the experience may include the water as well, but today a water landing is neither bookable nor included. Any news will be announced only after the necessary authorisations and operational checks.

Each duration draws a different picture of the city and the lagoon: the shorter flights stay close to the heart of Venice, the longer ones widen the view progressively towards the islands and the horizon. Exact points, sequence and visibility are always subject to operational confirmation.

No payment is due when the request is sent. After accepting the quote, you receive the account details to pay the deposit directly to AELIA by instant bank transfer within forty-eight hours. Funds do not pass through the website, and payment remains separate from the operator’s operational confirmation.

If the flight cannot depart because of weather or for a cause attributable to the carrier, you may choose between rescheduling and a full refund, including the deposit, within seven days. If the customer withdraws, the full deposit is retained and any balance is returned, under the Booking terms.

Yes. Beyond the three bookable experiences, you can configure a fixed-price A → A scenic flight or an A → B air taxi. One-way flights between Venice Lido and Portorož, Mali Lošinj, Pula, Fano or Asiago have an online price in both directions; round trips are priced online only when they depart from Venice. You can request a personal quotation from the operator for another mission.

Operational decisions rest with the flight operator. Altitude, route and the conduct of the flight are determined in compliance with the applicable rules and the conditions of the day.

The three experiences last about 25, 35 or 55 minutes from the welcome to the debriefing, with about 12, 20 or 40 minutes of actual flight. Take-off follows ten to fifteen minutes after the experience begins: before it come the welcome, the briefing beside the aircraft, the checks and the taxiing. Both durations are approximate, and the route requires operational confirmation.

Giovanni Nicelli Airport stands on the Venice Lido. From St Mark’s Square you cross to the Lido by waterbus and continue from Santa Maria Elisabetta to the airfield by bus; alternatively a canal runs up to the entrance, and a water taxi sets you down in front of the airfield from anywhere in the city. We invite you to arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled departure.

We suggest booking at least two days ahead. The calendar shows the dates still open, and sending the request blocks the one you choose; the 20% deposit is paid within forty-eight hours. Date, time, meeting point and itinerary become final only with the operational confirmation sent by email.

We fly all year round, apart from scheduled interruptions for maintenance or operational needs: in the calendar, the dates open are the ones you can book. The I-SIMJ operates under visual flight rules and weather conditions remain safety judgements of the captain. If the flight cannot take place, you may choose between rescheduling and a full refund, deposit included, within seven days of the request.

The booking reserves the whole aircraft for a group of one to four passengers, always for the same total price. The total weight of passengers and baggage is a single figure for the aircraft: 260 kg for Venice Essential and Venice Classic, 250 kg for Venice Extended. Minors travel accompanied and must be indicated at booking: the aircraft configuration is fixed.

It is an amphibious aeroplane, not a helicopter: it takes off from and returns to the runway of the historic Giovanni Nicelli Airport, where your pilot welcomes you with a short briefing beside the aircraft. A single price covers the whole aircraft, from one to four passengers, whatever the number of people on board. On board, the welcome is in Italian and in English.
